Pre K

Stage 1

Pre K

Our Pre-Kindy program is designed to provide a nurturing and engaging environment for children aged 3 to 5 years old.


English: 

Children will develop their phonics, vocabulary, and communication skills through interactive activities, songs, and storytelling. Our experienced teachers will encourage students to express themselves confidently and creatively, laying a strong foundation for their future language development.


Maths: 

Students will explore basic concepts, such as counting, shapes, patterns, and simple addition and subtraction. We use hands-on activities, games, and visual aids to make learning fun and engaging, fostering a love for math that will benefit them in their future studies.


Kindy

Stage 1

Our Kindy program is designed to align with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) syllabus. Our curriculum is carefully crafted to provide a balanced mix of engaging lessons and hands-on practice activities.


English: 

Students will develop their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through age-appropriate materials and activities. They will explore storytelling, learn new vocabulary, and practice their communication skills in a fun and nurturing environment.


Maths: 

Aims to build a strong foundation in early numeracy skills. Students will be introduced to numbers, counting, basic operations, shapes, and patterns through interactive lessons and playful exercises.

English:

Students will develop their vocabulary, reading comprehension and basic grammar. They will engage in class discussions with peers and the teacher which will help improve their communication and critical thinking skills. Teachers will also take them through comprehension skills for exam styled questions.


Writing:

Writing will focus on developing the students' ability to express their ideas and thoughts in written form such as construct basic sentences. Students will learn about the writing process and practice planning, drafting, editing their work. 


Maths:

Students will continue to develop their basic mathematical skills and knowledge. They will build upon their understanding of fundamental concepts.

Stage 2

English:

Students will develop their vocabulary, reading comprehension and basic grammar. They will engage in class discussions with peers and the teacher which will help improve their communication and critical thinking skills. Teachers will also take them through comprehension skills for exam styled questions.


Writing:

Writing will focus on developing the students' ability to express their ideas and thoughts in written form. Students will learn about the writing process and practice planning their ideas. They will be introduced to different text types, such as narratives, persuasive and informative and learn how to structure and organise their writing.


Maths:

Students will continue to develop their mathematical skills and knowledge. They will build upon their understanding of number and place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, time, money, measurement, and geometry. They will engage in problem-solving activities and learn to apply their knowledge in real-life situations.

English:

Students will develop their vocabulary, reading comprehension and grammar. They will engage in class discussions with peers which will help improve their communication and critical thinking skills. Teachers will also take them through comprehension skills for exam styled questions like NAPLAN reading. Both multiple choice questions and short answer questions will be applied.


Writing:

Students will learn about the writing process and practice planning, drafting, editing their work. They will be introduced to different text types, such as descriptive, narrative and persuasive and learn how to structure and organise their writing in an effective way. Students will also learn to use different language techniques to effectively to enhance their writing in preparation for NAPLAN.


Maths:

Students will continue to develop their mathematical skills and knowledge. They will learn patterns, perimeter and volume, time, weight, and measurement. Students will also explore the properties of 3D shapes, work with nets, and develop their spatial awareness through map reading and interpretation. Through hands-on tasks and real-world problem-solving, they will strengthen their fluency, reasoning, and ability to apply mathematical concepts in everyday situations.

Stage 4

English:

Students will develop their vocabulary, reading comprehension, inferencing skills and analysing writing techniques. They will engage in class discussions with peers which will help improve their communication and critical thinking skills. Teachers will also take them through comprehension skills for exam styled questions like NAPLAN reading and OC reading.


Writing:

Students will develop their critical thinking skills through the writing process. They will be introduced to major text types, such as narratives,  persuasive, recount, and poems. Students will also learn to use descriptive language like ‘show’ not tell and sentence structures to enhance their writing.


Maths:

Students will continue to develop their mathematical skills and knowledge. They will build upon their understanding of number and place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, time, money, measurement, and geometry. 

Stage 5

Stage 5

English:

Students will develop their vocabulary, reading comprehension, inferencing skills and analysing writing techniques. They will engage in class discussions with peers which will help improve their communication and critical thinking skills. Teachers will also take them through comprehension skills for exam styled questions like NAPLAN reading and selective reading.


Writing:

Students will learn how to write advertisements, reviews, descriptions, news and vignettes to prepare for selective writing.


Maths:

Students will continue to develop their mathematical skills and also thinking skills. They will build upon their understanding of money, fractions, patterns, measurements, 3D shapes, angles, chance . They will engage in problem-solving activities and learn to apply their knowledge in real-life situations. 

Stage 6

English:
Students will continue to build their vocabulary, reading comprehension, and inferencing skills through a range of engaging texts. They will learn to identify key ideas, understand author techniques, and respond to questions using evidence from the text. Teachers will guide them through comprehension strategies to prepare for exam-style questions such as NAPLAN and selective reading tests.


Writing:
Students will learn how to write advice sheet, persuasive speech, letter, explanatory and informative writing. 


Maths:
Students will continue to develop their mathematical understanding and skills. They will build on their knowledge of number and place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, time, money, measurement, and geometry. They will also strengthen their fluency and reasoning skills to support them in future mathematical learning.

Writing:
Students will strengthen their critical thinking and analytical writing skills through the study of fiction, non-fiction, and visual texts. They will learn how to respond to a range of texts using the PETAL structure (Point, Evidence, Technique, Analysis, Link) to organise their ideas in clear and effective paragraphs. Students will explore how authors and visual composers use language and techniques to convey meaning, and they will practise crafting essays that explain how these techniques influence the audience.
